The History Book Committee needs your family information!
Please contact anyone on this committee to update or submit your information, pictures or whatever else you might have that would help us make a great history book!
Makoti's Centennial will be held in 2011. The Book committee is requesting the following information for the Makoti Centennial Book.
Anyone who is living in Makoti or has ever lived in makoti area is asked to send in a history (may include up to 2 photos.) Also histories of businesses, organizations, and social groups would be appreciated.
Please include your phone number in case we have any questions, it will not be published. Please write a narrative about your family history. Feel free to add recollections or antidotes.
Limit your pictures to two—perhaps an older picture and a more current one. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope if you want your photos returned. You may email your history or high resolution photos to fadstein@srt.com or mail your information to Judy Markwardt Goldsberry, PO Box 201, Makoti, ND 58756.
We recommend that you either type or print for accuracy. We would appreciate your histories as soon as possible. You may submit updates later if necessary. To order books or to pay for memorials, the money and orders may be sent to Bernadyne Zablotney, 16001 324 St. SW, Makoti, ND 58756. The cost for Memorial pages is full page $55.00; 1/2 page $35.00; 1/4 page $20.00; 1/8 page $12.50. Please make checks payable to Makoti Centennial.
Any area veteran's names should be given to Bernadyne Zablotney with information on their years of service, their branch of service, when and where they served and when they were discharged. A picture in uniform would also be appreciated.
Also looking for Centennial Farms, memorabilia, Historic Photos, School Composites, Business Pictures, etc.
Deadline for submissions is May 1. We may have to edit for space or clarity.
Do you know someone from Makoti or Makoti related who should receive special recognition for their accomplishments for a small Who’sWho section in the Makoti Centennial book? Send a short reason why they should be nominated. All nominations will be considered by a committee.
